PAN Opposes Morena's Property Initiatives in Mexico City

The president of the PAN in Mexico City, Luisa Gutierrez Ureña, expressed her concern about an initiative by Morena deputy Valentina Batres that aims to protect people evicted from properties in cases of unlawful occupations, which she considers a crime under the Penal Code. Gutierrez Ureña warned that at least 15 evictions occur daily in the city and called for not providing information to those attempting to gather data on homes for possible expropriations.

In response to this concern, the PAN Secretary General, Héctor Barrera, announced the start of a flyer campaign aimed at informing the public about alleged attempts to steal property by the Morena caucus in the Congress of Mexico City. He indicated that this campaign will be ongoing with the active collaboration of PAN members.

The local PAN deputy, Daniela Álvarez Camacho, denounced the lack of progress in the investigations of the 15,000 evictions recorded in CDMX and pointed to alleged complicity between Morena and illegal occupants. She affirmed that it is essential to protect private property against possible government abuses and to halt any reforms that could affect this right.

Under the slogan "My house is my house and not the Government's," an informative campaign has been launched against the alleged intention of Morena to seize private properties in Mexico City. It emphasizes the demand not to allow intrusions into the patrimonial life of citizens and calls for active defense of private property against potentially harmful legal measures.
